Mycoplasma and Trichomonas Tests
The following tests are PCR tests using first catch urine samples. We advise you
to only purchase one of these tests if you have previously tested positive for one
of these bacterial infections and you now want to check that the infection has cleared
up following treatment or if you have been specifically advised to have one of these
tests by a member of our staff or your own doctor.
Mycoplasma Test

A laboratory based test for Mycoplasma Genitalium. This test would only be suitable for someone who has previously tested positive and wants to check that the infection has cleared up.
Ureaplasma Test

This test will use PCR technology to detect ureaplasma from a urine sample. This is one of the most common causes of urinary tract infections where Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea have been excluded.
Trichomonas Test

A test for Trichomonas Vaginalis using PCR technology. The results on this test take 4 working days.
Gardnerella Test

A laboratory test for Gardnerella Vaginosis, also known as Bacterial Vagininosis. Results take 4 working days.
