About Us

Sexual health is a vital aspect of overall well-being. It can, however, be easily overlooked or ignored due to misplaced embarrassment or, in some cases, a lack of obvious symptoms.

The STI Clinic was created to make it easier for people to access tests and treatments for sexually transmitted infections. Even though the majority of STIs/STDs are easily treatable, many people find it difficult to get to a sexual health or GUM clinic to be tested, or are embarrassed to undergo the physical examination which can, in many cases, be unnecessary.

The STI Clinic has teamed up with one of London’s leading pathology laboratories – TDL Pathology – to provide a sexual health screening service which can be easily accessed online. The tests can be used in the comfort and privacy of your own home, with results available in as little as 24 hours.

The whole process is quick and simple. We send you the testing kit, you collect a urine sample and post it back to us in the prepaid envelope which is provided. As soon the results are back from the lab we will notify you immediately. If you test positive for any STD then we will recommend a course of treatment. All treatments are sent by overnight courier so you will have it the day after you test positive for anything.  To learn more about the process, click here >>.

We check for Chlamydia , Gonorrhoea and Herpes and a full sexual health screen is also available. We have decided not to offer a test for HIV as we feel that a face to face consultation is more appropriate. Nor do we test for Hepatitis B and C as the most reliable results are obtained from a blood test. If you would prefer a face to face consultation with a doctor for any STD test then we can arrange an appointment for you with someone in Harley Street or you can go to Freedom Health and make an appointment.

Gonorrhoea The second most prevalent sexually transmitted infection in the UK. This can affect both men and women. Not everyone will get symptoms but those who do will often get a discharge from the urethra and find it painful to pass urine. Gonorrhoea is generally treated using cephalosporin antibiotics.

Chlamydia The most common sexually transmitted infection in the UK, which can often present no obvious symptoms. Chlamydia affects both men and women and can cause serious problems if left untreated. The good news is that treatments are available and are highly effective in eradicating the infection.

Herpes Genital herpes can be controlled but once contracted, most people will experience outbreaks throughout their lives. Herpes can be controlled with an antiviral medication. Normally outbreaks of herpes is characterised by small blisters around the affected area.
