Trichomonas Vaginalis
This is a parasitic infection which can cause vaginal discharge, vulvar itching and swelling. Around 50% of women who are infected show no outward symptoms. If untreated, it can lead to urethritis and cystitis. In pregnancy, this infection can be passed from the mother to an unborn daughter. In men, the infection can progress to prostatitis.
